We decided to visit DC from Baltimore on a very snowy day…
We started with some breakfast at the PaperMoon Diner which is an experience, entertaining, and delicious (yes, the banana pancakes are as delicious as they look)!
From there, we took the metro into DC and headed to the National Air and Space Museum where we enjoyed the exterior sculpture, exhibits, planes, and space! Also, this was one case where because it was a random Wednesday… we didn’t even have to take photos around anyone else. Delightful!
We then walked around the DC mall (for clarity… the outdoor green area not a shopping area) and took fun snowy photos! We walked over to Foggy Bottom and enjoyed lunch at Founding Farmers!
For our final stop of the day, we went to the Mansion on O Street where we did the Secret Door Experience. It was thrilling and fun with wonderful and powerful stories! It is such a unique place both because of the stunning collections with original artwork, signed memorabilia, and Mrs. Rosa Parks’ room where she stayed when in DC for nearly 10 years. “The O” as it’s called… is a series of five interconnected town houses with over 100 rooms (that you can stay in as a hotel) and over 70 secret doors (from big to tiny)! A shoutout to my sister for the recommendation!!
