Our Florida adventures continued when Jeff and Vickey (Bob’s parents) joined us! They watched us run a 10k (our Best Damn Race) 🙂 and we enjoyed putt putt at Congo River Golf with gorgeous flowers and harrowing alligators!

We also ventured to Universal Studios (with Jurassic Park and Harry Potter). Two fun things include “The Porch of Indecision” at Margaritaville (because we all need a moment to leisurely enjoy life) and chocolate plus steampunk (did someone say chocolate bread and chocolate martinis?!?) at the The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium.

The four of us headed to Cocoa Beach to visit Jeff and Vickey’s friends Esther and Ron. We had a great time visiting, chatting, and paddle boarding on a windy day through mangroves.

My favorite part of Cocoa Beach was visiting the Kennedy Space Center! We enjoyed the visitor’s complex and also went behind the gates via bus on the Kennedy Space Center Explore Tour. We also got to listen to a SpaceX launch! While we would have liked to see it, we very much felt it, but the clouds were in the way (see the video at the bottom for the launch we heard). AND, we got to see a rocket returned to the base… all amazing!
