Connecting in Colorado (#21)

Colorado is one of our favorite places (in addition to Maryland!) and where our families, friends, and careers have been.

From our adventures in New Mexico, we drove to Ridgway, CO to visit Bob’s aunt and uncle! We then visited Amber’s home town of Ouray and enjoyed seeing her family and our kitty, Ms. Vin (currently at “college” there)! We enjoyed the mountains and went hiking, walking, and even popped over to Telluride for an afternoon!

We stopped to see Amber’s cousin and her husband and dogs on our way to Frisco, CO for a lovely visit and also enjoyed staying in Evergreen with friends who play the best boardgames and have a wonderful fudge and gift shop there, Sugar Jones.

We ended our epic road trip in Denver with Bob’s family! We enjoyed puzzles and games as well as a visit to the Denver Botanic Gardens where they were exhibiting “Spirit Guides: Fantastical Creatures from the Workshop of Jacobo and María Ángeles.” We also met up with friends including a concert with our friend Matt! Then we got a little crazy and visited Meow Wolf! It was a perfect way to wrap up our road trip and get ready to travel around the world!
